Attitude: This might be the most important aspect for any athlete in any sport to understand. With headlines screaming about athletes involved with drugs, weapons and domestic violence, the public is less accepting of the off-field actions of their “heroes.” We want all our athletes to understand right from wrong. We want them to be well informed so that they can make the right choices along the way. We want them to form a positive mental attitude so that they can influence themselves and others to always be moving in a positive direction, on and off the field of athletics. A positive attitude produces positive results.
Academics: We want our athletes to be well educated and well spoken so that they have a career beyond what athletics has to offer. When Mike was considering what to take in college, he decided on engineering, and he chose engineering because he was always mindful that he might not make it to the pros, or he might suffer a career ending injury. Today’s athletes must have that same back-up plan…and even if they do achieve success in professional athletics, they need to be smart enough to know what to do with the money they earn, and they need a plan for life after athletics. A well-rounded education produces well-rounded people.
Athletics: What athletic oriented program would be worthwhile if it didn’t offer the very best athletic training available, and that’s exactly what we propose to provide to those who participate in our program. Regardless of the particular sport, we have individuals to coach, train and refine the skills that will set our participants apart from the competition. Our goal is to take raw talent and hone it so that each and every individual can go onto the field safe in the knowledge that they have the ability and skills necessary to succeed. Our athletes will know that they have learned the techniques and that they have built up their bodies such that they can expect nothing but excellence.
